Experience an unforgettable visit to the 1837 Barossa Winery. This four hour experience includes a guided walk through the vineyard to learn the history of the winery, a tasting of eight wines including the reserve range, finishing with a spectacular two course lunch at the Horizon@1837 Restaurant.
See Barossa like never before with this incredible visit to the 1837 Barossa Winery. Begin your day with a visit to The Barossa Colonel Light Monument and enjoy the full 360 degree views from the historic Barossa estate. Continuing on to the art trail, get your camera out to photograph and pose next to the many colourful sculptures such as the “Wings of Barossa�. Entering the 1837 Barossa Pavilion, you will be welcomed with a short film about the history of Colonel William Light and how he came to name the now famous Barossa Valley. This will then be followed by a guided vineyard walk where you learn all about grape growing and if season permits, you will be able to sample some grapes.
Your day will continue with an introduction in winemaking where you will learn how to taste wine like a professional. The wine experience includes a tasting of eight wines, including the reserve range. After a comprehensive wine experience, you will be guided to Horizon@1837 Restaurant on the picturesque estate. The restaurant boasts a spectacular view over the Barossa and the staff will endeavour to seat you at the best place in the house where you will enjoy a delightful two course lunch. On the way out, you will have a chance to take some final pictures from the supersized baroque picture frame allowing you to pose with fantastic views of the Barossa Valley and Range in the background. There will also be the opportunity to purchase wine to take home (this can be shipped direct to your home from the winery).
This experience has a duration of 4 hours.
Please note that transfers to and from 1837 Barossa Estate are not included in this experience.
This experience runs with a minimum of 2 participants and a maximum of 12.
This experience does not allow for spectators.
The overall experience is indoor. Vineyard walk if weather permits.
