Fantastic Babymoon at Novotel Barossa

We had a fantastic time on our babymoon at Novotel Barossa. Pool was fantastic, king studio room had everything we needed - aircon worked a treat in 35/42 degrees, bathroom products were lovely, bed and pillows were comfy and view was gorgeous. Dinner at The Cellar Kitchen was high quality, delicious and well portioned plus service was wonderful. Really appreciated having someone come and take our order poolside for drinks and food while relaxing. Breakfast was simple but yummy with great coffee. The tasting room on site had delicious local ice cream available - try the salted caramel. Only issues to note were that our room smelled strongly of chlorine when we arrived, but we were able to air this out fairly quickly. And the room service/poolside food quality really needs improvement, fast! Chips were soggy on both occasions we tried, salad had way too much dressing, pizza was soggy.

We came for one night on Boxing Day, so booked months in advance to secure with the voucher. Given most of the surrounding town was shut, it was a relief to arrive at the Novotel and be able to check in and also ask the staff to make us a coffee. The on site restaurant had two course and theee course options which we jumped on (of course one and above the voucher), and the room was perfect for a nights slumber in between the vines and wine tastings. Highly recommend the hotels it has everything you need on site!

The Barossa Valley getaway was excellent in every way. The perfect spring weather certainly made the Valley look very beautiful. The Novotel was excellent and the views from our balcony were fantastic. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Thoroughly enjoyed the excellent buffet breakfast. There is so much to do in the Barossa and all within easy driving distance of the Novotel.

We had an amazing weekend, with great facilities and food. The staff are friendly and very helpful the breakfast and evening meals are great value for the quality and cost. We would definitely be returning to this establishment.
