Food was excellent. wine tasting was a bonus And Briony from Laughing Jack was very knowledgeable and the wine was fantastic. To top it off, we were given a glass of champagne 🥂 🍾 with dinner 👏🏼 The weather was sensational so we made the most of the pool

★★★★★ ★★★★★ Barossa Weekend Getaway with 3 Course Dinner Rory 29 November 2020 I had booked the Barossa getaway and dinner for our 1st wedding anniversary. It wasn't cheap at $450. I had reasonable expectations and my wife and I were looking forward to a pleasant weekend away. I would have to some up our experience as a little disappointing. Our room was quite average and had not been cleaned properly. There were dead flies squashed in the white curtails and the door handles were grubby. Dinner was like having dinner in a commercial food court. My wife and I dressed up only to find that most guests has shorts and thongs and had their feet up on chairs, very casual. We were placed on a table well away from the window with a view, even know we booked our table months in advance. Our waitress says to us on approach, "We are busy but can I take your order?". We placed our order, feeling a little underwhelmed. When our entrée arrived it was very basic and seemed like it was missing something on both of our dishes. Once our mains arrived I tried my fish, I was really disappointed in the overly fishy smell and taste, it was hard to stomach. My wife suggested to complain however I was not wanting our experience to get worse. My wife enjoyed the gnocchi and kindly shared it with me. The dessert was different to their online menu and we struggled to find something we liked. The next morning we decided to check out early. We had breakfast before we left and the staff were very friendly which was a nice way to finish our stay. It was not terrible, just a bit disappointing. We would not recommend this for a special getaway.
