Have the whole boat to yourselves and enjoy an epic day chasing fish in the waters off Geelong. With your choice on where to go, what fish to target and what food and drink is served, you're in for a seriously good time. All legal-sized fish you catch can be filleted and bagged for you to take home.
You're the boss for this private fishing charter! Choose where to go, what time to leave, what fish to target and what food and drinks are served to keep you and up to 25 mates completely satisfied. You will be boarding the 'Corio Princess,' a covered, flat-level purpose-built vessel that accommodates wheelchairs and mobility aids. All bait, tackle and equipment are provided, so you just need to cast a line and wait for that elusive tug. Expect to reel in an eclectic mix of fish including flatties, snapper, gummy sharks, King George whiting, silver whiting, rock cod and so many more. You may catch an occasional banjo shark and puffer fish and although they make for a great photo, they'll get thrown back in. All legal-sized fish you catch can be filleted and packed on ice for you to take away and enjoy at home.
Participants under 18 require an adult to accompany them. Participants must be over 18 to purchase alcohol from the on board bar. All participants over 18 must show photo ID and valid fishing licences after embarking upon vessel. All participants will have their temperature taken (contactless) upon embarking to ensure they don't show any symptoms of COVID-19. We reserve the right to refuse entry to anyone showing obvious symptoms of COVID-19.
Once this experience has been confirmed, changes are made at the discretion of the experience provider and arranged directly with them according to this policy:
Minimum of 10 and maximum of 25 participants.
Spectators are welcome but are required to also purchase a ticket for the appropriate age category.
All private charters are subject to weather conditions.
Although the vessel is covered, participants are exposed to the elements, so it's advised to dress very warmly in winter (hat, scarf, gloves, coat, covered shoes) and in summer to bring a hat, sunglasses and sunscreen. Hand warmers and sunscreen are also available for purchase on the boat.
Life jackets are provided but not required to be worn for the duration of the charter unless in case of an emergency, due to the size of the boat. Sea-sickness pills are not usually required as the Corio Princess is built on two pontoons so is very similar to a house-boat in structure and does not go out on very windy days or in choppy waters. In the summer months (Nov-Mar) charters book up very quickly. Please book dates well in advance in order to secure the date that suits you best. Days and times of charters vary. Please check the website and facebook pages for latest schedules. For birthdays or special celebrations, please inform us when booking and we will gladly provide a cake (homemade) free of charge. A confirmation text will be sent in the days prior to the charter regarding times and locations of departure as well as what is included in the trip. Please read all the relevant information and reply OK.
