Hold onto your rod tightly as your guide takes you into the Nepean and Warragamba Rivers to hunt for bass! Along the way, you might catch trout, mullet, carp or herring. Your knowledgeable fishing guide has many years experience fishing these waters and will be sure to take you to the best spots!

On the day of your freshwater fishing adventure, be welcomed aboard the fishing vessel by local guide, Steve. The boat is 4.6m and is a custom built bass boat with a 60hp outboard to get you up the river quickly and smoothly. There is also an electric motor so that you can sneak up on the fish in the best spots on the river!

Most tours have only 2 anglers on board with the guide that has been doing charters for over 10 years. After a quick safety rundown and a brief trip into the magnificent Nepean and Warragamba gorges, it won’t be long before you have your fishing line dangling in the water in anticipation of your first catch! In the Nepean and the Warragamba, you might catch either bass, trout, mullet, carp or herring and all in the most amazing setting - steep gorge rock faces, with an abundance of wildlife including eagles soaring overhead, wallabies leaping around the rocks, water dragons lying in wait plus so much more.

Not to mention getting a unique view of Warragamba dam from below the huge dam wall. You will mainly be targeting the hard fighting native bass on either surface or diving lures, depending on conditions. You'll also target rainbow and brown trout, mullet, herring or carp as you're casting the lures for the bass.

Tours are run in the late afternoon, so you’ll experience the exciting action of surface lure strikes, as the local bass population smashes surface walking lures and with the light fishing equipment, you’re up for a sure fight! You'll use top quality rods and reels, with the best of east coast and tailor-made lures. You don’t even need a fishing licence, as that has been organised for you. During the fishing trip, you'll also enjoy light refreshments and snacks.

Session Length

Trips depart everyday at sunrise or sunset. Please allow a minimum of 4 hours for the entire experience. Exact meeting times will be provided at the time of booking.

Guidelines

Perfect for anyone with a love of fishing! Children are welcome, but must be accompanied by a paying adult.

Cancellation

Change your booking up to 7 days before the start time of your experience
Changes are not permitted within 7 days of your experience
Late arrivals or no shows may result in you forfeiting your experience

The price quoted is for one person. We operate with a maximum of two people to ensure individual attention at all times.

Weather

This trip may be cancelled in the event of strong winds and swell. In this case, the supplier will reschedule your experience (refunds will not be given). Make sure the mobile number provided is contactable the night prior to departure as the supplier will contact you if the trip has been cancelled.

Dress Code

Casual and comfortable clothing is recommended. Please dress according to the weather conditions on the day. In the event of rain, we can supply you with a rain jacket.

Awesome time freshwater Bass Fishing

Great afternoon fishing on the Nepean! Guide Steve was super knowledgeable about the waterway and his paitence and persistence paid off on what looked to be a tricky day on the water - there was fish landed on the boat!! Can’t be disappointed with that! The experience is best suited for those with intermediate to advanced casting skills - some of the spot casting required incredible accuracy to get the lure in the strike zone. Water quality for us wasn’t great on the day due to an unusual amount of rainfall, so whilst the tour is heavily weather dependent, as mentioned the guide Steve knew exactly what to do to get the bass to bite.

Our Guide ,Steve was very knowledgeable about Freshwater fishing and about the Nepean and Warragamba Rivers systems. Unfortunately due to the storms and flooding , the fish were not very active. In saying that both of us had a wonderful time with Steve.

It is important that what you advertise actually does happen. We were on the boat for the evening trip which was for 4 hrs from 4pm to 8pm. During this time most people eat a meal. I was prepared to take a snack or sandwiches, but as the trip advertised "During the fishing trip, we also supply light refreshments, snacks and" I decided not to take anything to eat or drink. This was a mistake as NO refreshments of any kind were offered. It was a shame really as the host was excellent. Kind regards Les
