This fishing tour will take you out to the Cairns Estuary System; a beautiful ecosystem that is part of the State Marine Park, it is an amazing fishing spot. With a whole range of different underwater landscapes including holes, mudflats, snags and drop-offs you are sure to see, and hopefully catch a whole variety of fish. With everything supplied including rods and reels, tackle, bait (dead and/or live) and light refreshments, all you need to bring along is a positive attitude, your camera, a wide brim hat and a few beers too (cans please)! Your experienced guide will ensure you get the most out of your adventure and will help you with your fishing technique, whether you're an avid angler or you're a fishing rookie. Common estuary fish species included but not limited to; Grunter (Javelin fish), Fingermark, Blue theadfin, King theadfin, Queenfish, Trevally, Mangrove jack, Estuary cod, Bream, Flathead, Hairtail, Tarpon, Mud crab and the prize catch..Barramundi.

Guidelines

Rain Ponchos are supplied if it's raining and there is a canopy that covers 3/4 of the boat for sun protection.

Cancellation

Change your booking up to 24 hours before the start time of your experience
Changes are not permitted within 24 hours of your experience
Late arrivals or no shows may result in you forfeiting your experience

Weather

The vessel has a full length canopy to help with protection from the sun and rain, so the tour can run in wet weather.

Dress Code

Please wear a wide brim hat, a long sleeved cotton shirt and bring along sunglasses, your camera and a few beers are Okay.

Not much on the bite the day I went but overall, was enjoyable. Friendly and knowledgeable guide. I will go again.

Brilliant experience with a local fella named Dazza, his knowledge and experience is what you want entering the croc mangroves. He baits your hook and even casts it for you. When your rod goes bang he will show you how to land your prized catch.
