Experience life on a working cattle property during this two hour horse trek. Suitable for beginners and advanced riders, there’s gullies to explore, ridges to climb and pastures to meander through. An incredible outback experience.

The 2 hour trail riding is a great experience for everyone from beginners to confident riders. Ride on one of the quiet Quarter Horses over a picturesque 530 acre working cattle property on Queensland's Darling Downs

This popular ride meanders across property pastures, shaded dry creek gullies and climbs to a high ridge for those more experienced riders. There are nice flats for trotting and cantering if you are up for it (we will teach you) or you can take your time at a leisurely walk.

A drink and homemade cake is included for after the 2 hour ride.

Session Length

  • This ride is 2 hours in duration and includes a short tuition in the arena prior to heading out on the trail
  • Rides are offered 7 days a week (excluding Australia Day, Christmas Day and Boxing Day) both morning and afternoon (times vary depending on the season)

Guidelines

  • Riders must be aged 5 years and over for this ride
  • Riders must sign (or have signed by parent/guardian) a waiver & Indemnity form
  • Riders must wear an Australian Standards helmet (provided)
  • All riders must arrive 15 minutes before the scheduled ride time for fitting of helmets and signing of waivers
  • Riders must wear long pants and enclosed shoes

Cancellation

Once this experience has been confirmed changes are at the discretion of the experience provider and arranged directly with them according to their policy:

  • If cancellation is made more than 24 hours before ride time then a reschedule will be offered. A refund is at the discretion of the provider
  • No reschedule or refund is offered if booking is cancelled less than 24 hours from ride time
  • If cancellation of the ride due to weather or other issues is made by the provider a reschedule will be offered. A refund is at the discretion of the provider

Numbers on the Day

There is a maximum of 10 riders for this experience.

Weather

In the event of rain or inclement weather your experience will go ahead unless contacted by the provider. If your experience is cancelled you will be rescheduled.

Dress Code

All riders are required to wear long pants and enclosed shoes or boots (joggers are fine but flat soled canvas shoes eg Vans are not permitted). Sunscreen is advised. No singlets.
