Aboard a specially built adventure boat capped at just 10 participants, you'll skim across the water at sea level for an intimate perspective on the marine life along the Tweed coast.
During the annual humpback migration, thousands of these gentle giants pass through these waters on their journey from Antarctica, and your skipper knows exactly where to find them. Once you've watched the whales breach and play, the boat drops anchor in the calm shallows of the Cook Island Aquatic Reserve. Slip on your wetsuit, mask and fins and slide into the water to meet the resident green turtles, with a qualified snorkel supervisor by your side the whole time. Light refreshments are served onboard, and small group numbers mean everyone gets a clear view of the action. It's the kind of morning on the water that turns into a story you'll be telling for weeks.
