This 90 minute honey harvesting and tasting experience is designed as a shared, small group immersion rather than a conventional tour. It begins with a guided introduction to the working apiary, where expert beekeepers lead a thoughtful exploration of how a colony functions, from the role of the queen to the coordinated rhythm of worker bees, and how beekeeping evolves with the seasons. Participants are then fitted with full beekeeper equipment and a protective veil before stepping into the hives for a calm, hands on encounter with the bees, observing their behaviour up close while tuning in to the subtle sounds, scents, and movements of the colony.

A curated honey tasting follows, showcasing distinct floral expressions shaped by landscape, season, and weather. Participants then enjoy relaxed morning tea and coffee with freshly baked sourdough overlooking the lake. The experience transitions from learning to participation as a freshly harvested frame of warm honeycomb is brought to the table. Participants break down the comb and use a traditional press, watching raw honey flow unfiltered and unheated into jars. Each participant takes home a 110 millilitre jar of honey they helped harvest, along with a piece of beeswax to help remember their experience.
