Enter Sea World's tropical reef pool and swim amongst tropical fish, rays and other fascinating marine life including harmless leopard and white-tip reef sharks. Follow an educational trail with underwater signage and look through to the Shark Lagoon to see the larger Sharks. The best feature of this experience is the tropical water, which is heated year round to a very comfortable 26 degrees. Youâ€™ll be accompanied by an experienced Dive Leader for the duration of your snorkel. Please Note: Participants must purchase a Sea World entry ticket or hold a valid pass for entry to Sea World.

Session Length

This Experience goes for approximately 20 mins and is available 7 days a week excluding Christmas Day
Sea World - Current operating hours are 10am - 5pm
Closed on ANZAC Day (25 April) and Christmas Day (25 December)
Rides and attractions are subject to change to enable maintenance and some rides and attractions will not operate during inclement weather conditions.
Please note queue lines may close earlier to allow attractions to finish in line with park closing times.

Restrictions

Participants must be able to speak and/or understand English, or have a translator available to translate the pre-program brief.

Guidelines

Participants must purchase a Sea World entry ticket or hold a valid pass for entry to Sea World
Participants must be 8 years of age or over
Children under 10 years must be accompanied by a paying person 14 years or older (one guardian per child) OR a paying person 18 years or older may accompany two children under 10). This person must be able to provide assistance to the younger child during the wetsuit dressing process and also whilst in the pool
Participants must be competent swimmers/able to swim unaided
Participants must be able to speak and/or understand English, or have a translator available to translate the pre-program brief for them.
Participants must read and acknowledge all health risks (some medical conditions will prohibit participation)
Participants must be competent swimmers/able to swim unaided
Participants must have controlled motor movement
Participants must be able to understand and follow directional hand signals of staff as outlined in snorkel briefing
Participants must be able to quickly exit the pool area unassisted
Participants must not have any open cuts or infections
Guests with disabilities are asked to call Village Roadshow Theme Parks to determine suitability to participate in the Animal Adventures programs.

Change your booking up to 24 hours before the start time of your experience
Changes are not permitted within 24 hours of your experience
Late arrivals or no shows may result in you forfeiting your experience

Guests are not permitted to wear any visible jewellery of any type.

Snorkeling at Sea World is a MUST!!

Honestly the best form of snorkeling without having to go out to a reef. You’ll see more then just a handful of fish, you’ll swim with sting rays, sharks, turtles and plenty of different species. My 10 year old son was absolutely amazed! Definitely book this in next time you visit Sea World.

You jump into a pool that’s full of sharks & stingrays but it’s safe and comfortable. Never did anything like this before it was so amazing. If you’re an adventurous person like me you gotta try this.

What a special time. You get up close and get to interact with the penguins. You couldn't wipe the smile off my face the entire time. The staff were super friendly and knowledgeable. The experience was just MAGIC.

Best Penguin Encounter Ever

My partner and I have done penguin encounters in San Diego (Sea World), Chicago, Melbourne and Sydney (Aquarium and Zoo) to name a few - and the encounter here in SeaWorld Gold Coast is perhaps the best we have done. We had the honor of interacting with young baby penguins (Approx 9 months old I believe) and you can really see their immaturity compared to the adults when we headed onto the ice. The staff allowed us to interact with any penguin who approached us, including a rare ability to feed them with their enrichment items. Most locations dont allow a lot of human interaction/contact but the staff were super cool with it while maintaining strong control over the situation to ensure the safety of the penguins. We honestly felt this was the highlight of our entire trip and had it not been sold out, we would have purchased the second session for that day and do it all over again. Experience: 10/10 Staff: 10/10 Value for Money: 10/10 We visited Feb 12th, 2020.
