Highlights

  • Learn to ride and care for a horse with this intensive four-week course

  • Lessons combine horsemanship and a private riding lesson

Suitable for a range of riders; from complete beginners or parents of riders, to those progressing their skills and those looking to get back into the saddle, this four-week course utilises a mix of horsemanship - learning to tack up, groom and care for a horse - with a private lesson each week.

What's Included?

  • Two hours of horsemanship instruction and a private lesson each week for four weeks
  • Helments and boots if required
  • Choose your time with various weekdays and evenings available

Join this small group riding experience designed to teach you the fundamentals of horse riding and discover or rekindle your love of riding. This course is a mix of horsemanship and a private riding lesson each week. You will learn how to become a confident rider, read a horses body language, how to tack up a horse and when to use the necessary equipment, as well as caring for your horse and how to balance yourself while riding.

You'll advance at your own pace, with more experienced riders building on their existing skills. Beginners will progress from a lunge rope to independent walking, trotting and even cantering. During your private lessons, your coach will be in the arena with you, with one other rider observing and learn from your session, solidifying the knowledge learnt.

Taking place in the leafy suburbs of Terrey Hills at MC Equestrian, where calm and well-schooled horses and qualified, patient, and welcoming coaches await you. The first-class facilities include a large indoor, mirrored arena to cater for all weather conditions, a full-length outdoor dressage arena and two beginner outdoor arenas.
