Embark on a spectacular horse trail ride through beautiful sub-tropical woodlands before arriving at Belongil Beach. Here you can trot along the secluded shoreline, observe bird life and marvel at the crystal clear waters, enjoying views back toward the lighthouse and out to Julian Rocks.

Two hour horse trail ride
Helmets and equipment

Take in the natural serenity of Byron Bay's hinterland and coastline on this two hour horse ride. Be guided through the tranquil sub-tropical woodlands on the back of a friendly horse and be amazed at the flora and fauna that resides along this gorgeous trail. Upon reaching Belongil Beach, you'll amble down onto the sand and trot along the secluded shoreline, admiring the crystal clear waters on one side and dune vegetation on the other. Suitable for intermediate to advanced riders only, you will receive instruction on control and management of your horse.

This experience is approximately two hours in duration
Recommended to book at least 14 days prior to commencement, as rides are subject to availability
Available Monday to Friday ONLY

Guidelines

Minimum age is 10 years old
Minimum height is 125cm
Maximum weight for beginners is 100kg, or 105kg for experienced riders
Waiver must be completed prior to riding on the day
Full comprehensive personal travel insurance is recommended
Age, height, weight and experience level info for ALL riders must be provided upon booking
Available Monday to Friday ONLY
You are unable to bring cameras or phones along on the ride. Our guides take iPhone photos throughout the tour

Cancellation

Change your booking up to 14 days before the start time of your experience
Changes are not permitted within 14 days of your experience
Late arrivals or no shows may result in you forfeiting your experience

Numbers on the Day

Maximum group size of eight people.

Weather

Tours will go ahead unless deemed unsafe by the staff. You will ride in light rain but if the wind is too strong or there’s lightning, the tour will be postponed.

Dress Code

Please wear long pants and enclosed shoes. It is recommended to bring sunscreen or a rain jacket depending on the weather forecast.

Bush to Beach Bliss Ride

A really great experience at the Bush to Brach 2hr ride today at Zephyr Horses Byron Bay. Great team of guides, easy check in and boots and helmet fitted and our horses were a pleasure. Got the $30 photo package and great memories of a fun day in beautiful Byron . Big thanks to all the Zephyr crew.

Ghosted and forgotten, terrible.

Broken down car on the way to the experience. Called from two phones multiple times. Left multiple texts explaining the situation myself and partner were in. Absolutely no replies or communication and have taken the $500 paid for the experience. I understand i did miss the the time slot but unfortunately life happens and to have zero communication even several days later with so much money paid left me feeling sick.
