Explore Byron Bay’s stunning hinterland and coastline on a two hour horse riding adventure designed for intermediate to advanced riders. Guided by experienced instructors, you’ll journey through peaceful subtropical woodlands on horseback, winding along scenic trails surrounded by native flora and fauna. It’s a wonderful opportunity to slow down, connect with nature and experience a quieter side of this iconic coastal destination.

As the trail emerges from the forest, you'll make your way onto the secluded sands of Belongil Beach. Trot along the shoreline with crystal clear waters on one side and natural dune vegetation on the other, taking in sweeping coastal views. Before setting off, you'll receive guidance on the control and management of your horse, ensuring you feel confident throughout the experience. Combining tranquil bushland, breathtaking beach scenery and the simple joy of horseback riding, this is an unforgettable way to discover the natural beauty of Byron Bay.

Session Length

This experience is approximately two hours in duration
Recommended to book at least 14 days prior to commencement, as rides are subject to availability
Available Monday to Friday only

Guidelines

Minimum age is 10 years old
Minimum height is 125cm
Maximum weight for beginners is 100kg, or 105kg for experienced riders
Waiver must be completed prior to riding on the day
Full comprehensive personal travel insurance is recommended
Age, height, weight and experience level info for all riders must be provided upon booking
You are unable to bring cameras or phones along on the ride. Our guides take iPhone photos throughout the tour

Cancellation

Change your booking up to 14 days before the start time of your experience
Changes are not permitted within 14 days of your experience
Late arrivals or no shows may result in you forfeiting your experience

Numbers on the Day

Maximum group size of eight people.

Weather

In extreme weather conditions the tour may be cancelled if safety is a concern, you will be contacted by the provider and rescheduled.

Dress Code

Please wear long pants and enclosed shoes. It is recommended to bring sunscreen or a rain jacket depending on the weather forecast.

Bush to Beach Bliss Ride

A really great experience at the Bush to Brach 2hr ride today at Zephyr Horses Byron Bay. Great team of guides, easy check in and boots and helmet fitted and our horses were a pleasure. Got the $30 photo package and great memories of a fun day in beautiful Byron . Big thanks to all the Zephyr crew.

Ghosted and forgotten, terrible.

Broken down car on the way to the experience. Called from two phones multiple times. Left multiple texts explaining the situation myself and partner were in. Absolutely no replies or communication and have taken the $500 paid for the experience. I understand i did miss the the time slot but unfortunately life happens and to have zero communication even several days later with so much money paid left me feeling sick.
