Take your love of polo from the sideline to the field with an introductory lesson. Over 60 minutes, you will learn riding and technical skills, rules and gameplay in a relaxed group setting. You will be carefully matched up to a horse that suits your experience level and riding ability.
Learn the rules, tricks and techniques surrounding the elite sport of polo during a 60 minute introductory lesson. Located at the beautiful Werribee Equestrian Centre, you will meet friendly and experienced coaches who will take you through the basics of the game and 'polo riding' with other keen beginners. After learning how to get on the horse, hold the reigns and the polo mallet, you'll be matched up with a friendly horse who suits your experience level and riding ability. From here you'll mount up and head straight out to the field to go through 'polo riding' and how this differs from any other equestrian discipline or experience. Next you'll implement the stick and the ball, practicing swing technique. Your coach will thoroughly break down all elements of the lesson so even first timers can leave feeling like they could someday participate in a game.
The lessons operate on a seasonal rotation between grass and indoor arena polo, both just a short drive from Melbourne. This is the perfect gift for the polo enthusiast in your life or someone yearning to try something new.
