Your day starts at 5.50am with a pick up from your Albany accommodation for the 180 kilometre journey to the Bremer Bay Marina. During the drive to Bremer Bay, let your driver provide an informative and factual commentary on the pioneering history and riches of the amazing south coast. Once on board, morning tea is provided and anticipation builds as you head to the edge of the shelf and approach the Bremer Canyon.

The deck of the boat starts to buzz as the crew and researchers make preparations in readiness for the first glimpse of a killer whale. Emerging in the distance are hovering birds; waiting with you to catch a glimpse of these spectacular creatures. You spot a tail, fins in vigorous motion and maybe you might be blessed with a mighty jump.

In the midst of the action, a delicious lunch is served buffet style. Later, as you return to the Marina afternoon tea is provided including refreshments. Savour your memories on your return to Albany that night awash with this extraordinary experience.

  • This tour is ONLY available seasonally between January and April

Cancellation

Once this experience has been confirmed, changes are at the discretion of the experience provider and arranged directly with them according to this policy:

  • Cancellation of a booking or part thereof can incur fees (see below)
  • Once travel has commenced, no refunds will be made for any unused services and clients will be responsible for their travel arrangements from that point onward
  • Notice given with more than 30 days: full refund
  • Notice given within 30-14 days of tour: 75 percent refund
  • Notice given within 8-18 days: 50 percent refund
  • No Shows are not given refunds
  • Any cancellation or booking adjustment has to be in writing
  • Additional fees may apply
  • The tour provider can cancel services at any time due to unforeseen circumstances and as a result of natural disasters
  • The tour provider cannot be held responsible for any costs incurred by passengers as a result of cancelled services
  • You can reschedule if your tour gets cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances

Weather

Cruises are subject to favourable weather on the day. The provider will contact you via phone and email address should the tour be cancelled.

Dress Code

We recommend bringing a warm jacket and wearing comfortable layered clothing and flat enclosed shoes. The Bremer Canyon can get quite cold, so please bring warmer clothes with you.

Please be prepared for this full-day expedition and take motion sickness tablets 1 hour prior to boarding (or as per instructions) and also bring them with you. Seek advice from your pharmacist prior to your tour.
