Experience this amazing gathering of majestic creatures in the remote Southern Ocean. Enjoy a marine experience like no other to view Australia’s largest collection of marine creatures, including killer whales, feeding together at the Bremer Canyon from January to April every year.
Your day starts at 5.50am with a pick up from your Albany accommodation for the 180 kilometre journey to the Bremer Bay Marina. During the drive to Bremer Bay, let your driver provide an informative and factual commentary on the pioneering history and riches of the amazing south coast. Once on board, morning tea is provided and anticipation builds as you head to the edge of the shelf and approach the Bremer Canyon.
The deck of the boat starts to buzz as the crew and researchers make preparations in readiness for the first glimpse of a killer whale. Emerging in the distance are hovering birds; waiting with you to catch a glimpse of these spectacular creatures. You spot a tail, fins in vigorous motion and maybe you might be blessed with a mighty jump.
In the midst of the action, a delicious lunch is served buffet style. Later, as you return to the Marina afternoon tea is provided including refreshments. Savour your memories on your return to Albany that night awash with this extraordinary experience.
