Join this exciting expedition along Wilsons Promontory in search of the majestic humpback whale during their southerly migration. Explore the breathtaking coastal formations and remote bays as you pass Rabbit Island, Sealers Cove and Refuge Cove. Enjoy sights of diverse marine wildlife and seabirds, with regular sightings of albatrosses, Australia fur seals and dolphins. The star of the show is, of course, the humpback whales, where you may be lucky enough to get up and close personal with the beautiful creature as it breaches through the water. While a sighting is not guaranteed, the cruise has an 80% success rate.

Please note: This experience is only available during the whale migration season - September to November.

Available Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday, departing at 10am
Please check in 30 minutes prior to depature
This is a seasonal experience from September to November only

The child ticket is for children between 3-15 years old inclusive and is not recommended for kids under 3

We had an amazing time on the whale watching cruise! The crew was knowledgeable and friendly. We were lucky enough to see several whales breaching, a pod of dolphins and two seals. It was also lovely how thoughtful the team were with catering for my wife and daughter with delicious dairy-free lunches, as they can’t eat the usual food. It really made them feel cared for and included. Would definitely recommend this experience to anyone visiting the area.

The cruise was very well organised - good food and very informative. We saw about 10 whales in about 4 or 5 different places, including a number of breaching whales. I couldn't have asked for more.

We had an amazing time on a beautiful day. The food was good, staff were great and it was just overall a lot of fun. Only improvement I could suggest is fixing the speaker system, as it was very difficult to hear the captains announcements in most of the viewing areas.

The captain and crew were so professional and helpful. We were blessed to watch not only the seals and dolphins but 12 whales, it was breathtaking. Will definitely do this again

I surprised my girlfriend for our anniversary and man can I say that this was literally mind blowing! We ended up seeing 6-7 whales and we were unable to move with being surrounded but that was a moment to remember!! Dolphins also should their appearance now and then but the whales just took the show away! I cannot compliment the staff and the captain! They were amazing the whole way and provided amazing support the whole 6 hours! They were also great with time and reached very much on time!

Whales Galore!

We were treated to dozens of whales, breaching, pectoral slapping and playing in Bass Strait. The weather was gloomy and we never expected to see any, but it was the most wonderful experience. The staff team were fun and fabulous. Highly recommend this cruise from Port Welshpool.
