From September each year, you'll be able to spot majestic humpback whales and their calves as they are heading south to the Arctic waters, using Geographe Bay as their final resting area.

Two hour whale watching cruise from Busselton

Prepare to be mesmerized during this magnificent whale watching cruise in Busselton. Departing from Busselton , you'll set sail the only purpose built Whale Watching Vessel in the region with full walk around levels and 2 large cabins - everyone onboard will get a front row view as we sail into the pristine waters of Geographe Bay. From August to November each year, majestic humpback whales and their calves resting in Geographe Bay before making the long journey south to the Arctic water after breeding in the warmer waters up north. These gentle giants use Geographe Bay as their last resting area before the long swim. Be in awe as you watch these enchanting creatures breach, throw tail lobs and jump out of the water just meters away. The Bay also provides a resting area for Southern Right Whales, and if you're lucky, you may even spot a beautiful Blue Whales cruising past! (we have been blessed the past 2 years by increased blue whale encounters)

This experience is two hours in duration
Available daily from September to December at 9:45am and 1:15pm

Restrictions

Wheelchair friendly vessel, along with a wheelchair friendly toilet onboard

Guidelines

This experience is only available from August to November (depending on whale migration)
Where whales are not sighted guests will be offered a free trip
AntiNausea wristbands available for purchase $10 onboard
Marine Biologist onboard along with Commentary throughout the tour

Cancellation

Change your booking up to 48 hours before the start time of your experience
Changes are not permitted within 48 hour of your experience
Late arrivals or no shows may result in you forfeiting your experience
Booking Changes - if it is within 48 hours prior to charter not permitted and no refund. Outside 48 hours reschedules are permitted but will attract a $5 fee per passenger

Numbers on the Day

We require a minimum number to run - Our Purpose Built for Whale Watching vessel is capped at a max of 47 - and with several viewing areas you will be able to get a "front row seat" onboard the full walk around lower deck or huge upper deck - even join the captain in his cabin for the first hand experience, on the low Charters will only go ahead once minimum passenger numbers have been reached.

Weather

The charter might be delayed commencements time due to marine weather conditions - and in this instance (usually only by an hour) your booking and cancellation policy stands. If All Sea Charters deem unsafe to operate, you will be contacted and offered the opportunity to reschedule. The operator will check the Marine Weather every evening at 4pm so sometimes there will be a late-minute reschedule - and the marine weather can change daily.

Dress Code

Bring a Jacket - even if it is warm the weather on the ocean can be colder. Appropriate footwear.

Please arrive a minimum of 15 minutes prior to departure. Tour will depart at scheduled time. It was wonderful seeing a couple of these fantastic creatures. We'll definitely do this again in the hope of seeing more whales next time. We also has the pleasure of being escorted by a cheeky pod of dolphins on the way back to land.

I had never been whale watching before. I had heard of people not getting to see them, but we were NOT disappointed. It was once of the most amazing things I have ever experienced in my entire life. We will definitely be returning later in the year to experience it again.
