Be prepared to put up a fight during this action-packed fishing expedition in search for snapper. Departing on the tides, you will be armed with premium bait and quality Shimano rods to increase your odds, with all legal-sized catches to be taken home. Food and hot drinks are provided on board.
Experience the thrill of action fishing during this recreational fishing charter! You'll be on the hunt for snapper, one of the most prized fish in Australian waters, who are also known to put up a fight. The best time to catch them is on the tides, which is exactly when you'll be sailing. You will be boarding the 'Corio Princess,' a covered, flat-level purpose-built vessel that accommodates wheelchairs and mobility aids. Your knowledgeable captain will provide you with premium bait and Shimano rods and reels, so simply lay in wait for that elusive tug. Transfers to the fishing location within Corio Bay are quick, giving you more time to fish and to soak up the good vibes on the water. All legal-sized fish you catch can be filleted and packed on ice for you to take away and enjoy at home.
Participants must be at least 14 years old. Participants under 18 require an adult to accompany them. Participants must be over 18 to purchase alcohol from the on board bar. All participants will have their temperature taken (contactless) upon embarking to ensure they don't show any symptoms of COVID-19. We reserve the right to refuse entry to anyone showing obvious symptoms of COVID-19.
Once this experience has been confirmed, changes are made at the discretion of the experience provider and arranged directly with them according to this policy:
Maximum of 10 participants.
Spectators are welcome but are required to also purchase a ticket for the appropriate age category.
All charters are subject to weather conditions.
Although the vessel is covered, participants are exposed to the elements, so it's advised to dress very warmly in winter (hat, scarf, gloves, coat, covered shoes) and in summer to bring a hat, sunglasses and sunscreen. Hand warmers and sunscreen are also available for purchase on the boat.
Life jackets are provided but not required to be worn for the duration of the charter unless in case of an emergency, due to the size of the boat. Sea-sickness pills are not usually required as the Corio Princess is built on two pontoons so is very similar to a house-boat in structure and does not go out on very windy days or in choppy waters. As this charter only runs between Nov-Feb and on the tides, charter times and dates vary. Places are limited and book out fairly quickly. For birthdays or special celebrations, please inform us when booking and we will gladly provide a cake (homemade) free of charge.
This experience departs from Geelong, VIC.
