Looking for a new challenge? This rock climbing course entails 6 climbing sessions over 4 weeks at a variety of locations in and around Brisbane. This course has been designed to give you a grounding in basic climbing techniques, while providing a safe and fun environment in which to learn.

What's Included?

  • Four 3 hour climbing sessions at Kangaroo Point
  • One 3 hour climbing session at Brisbane’s premier indoor climbing gym
  • ½ day climbing session in the Glasshouse Mountains


  • Week 1 - Tuesday or Wednesday (6-9pm) Safety Induction and familiarization with equipment and rock-climbing procedures at Kangaroo Point cliffs
  • Week 2 - Tuesday or Wednesday (6-9pm) Climbing and introduction to climbing technique at Kangaroo Point cliffs. Friday (6-9pm) Climbing technique session at Brisbane's' premier indoor rock-climbing centre
  • Week 3 - Tuesday or Wednesday (6-9pm) Climbing session at Kangaroo Point cliffs. Saturday (8am-12pm) Climbing and Abseiling session at Mt Ngungun in the Glasshouse Mountains
  • Week 4 - Tuesday or Wednesday (6-9pm): Climbing and BBQ break-up at Kangaroo Point cliffs

Session Length

6 sessions over a month:

  • 4 x 3 hour session Tues or Wed 6pm-9pm,
  • 1 x 3 hour session Friday 6pm-9pm,
  • 1 x 4 hour Saturday session 8am – 12 noon

Sessions need to be completed consecutively.


Not recommended during pregnancy


  • Minimum participant age is 16 years
  • Participants under 18 years of age will need a waiver signed by a parent or legal guardian
  • Moderate fitness level required


Once this experience has been confirmed, changes are at the discretion of the experience provider and arranged directly with them according to this policy: Bookings are for the full course only and the provider does not offer refunds for sessions missed. Cancellations are accepted up to 14 works days prior to the course start date Cancellations within 14 working days of the course start date will incur a $100 fee. Cancellations within 7 working days of the course start day will forfeit the course fee

Numbers on the Day

There is a minimum of 4 participants per group and a maximum of 8 per instructor.


This activity is conducted in the great outdoors and is subject to weather. In the event of rain or inclement weather your experience will still go ahead unless contacted by the experience provider, All activities will run as scheduled unless there are extreme conditions such as high winds, set in rain or extreme heat. In the event that we need to postpone an activity due to adverse conditions, your guide will contact you to reschedule the activity. If you have any concerns as to whether an activity is going ahead due to weather conditions please contact your guide before leaving for the activity. In the event that the activity needs to be postponed: 1) If it is a Kangaroo Point Cliffs session, a make up session will be created the week following the last session 2) The Indoor session remains fixed as it is in an indoor venue as is not affected by weather 3) The Glasshouse session will be made up on consultation with the group and guide to find a suitable time that suits.

Dress Code

Wear comfortable clothing that allows freedom of movement, mid thigh length shorts or long pants, T-shirt, (a jumper if it’s cold), long hair must be tied back, and bring socks.
