Want to experience stunning sunset views from the best vantage point on the Sunshine Coast? Then this experience is for you! Prepare for an adrenaline rush as you repeatedly abseil 50 metres down Mt Timbeerwah in Tewantin National Park. Experienced guides will be on hand to provide a comprehensive safety briefing and lead you down the cliff face, catering to everyone from adrenaline junkies to those more height sensitive conquering their fears. It's the only experience of its kind in the national park and is just a stone's throw from the bustling Hastings Street in Noosa. A must do for locals and visitors alike!

Important information

Session Length

Allow 3 hours for the entire experience, including 30 mins of safety and equipment briefings
Available on Saturday from 2pm - 5pm (April to September) 3pm - 6pm (October to March)
Finish times can vary depending on the time of sunset

Restrictions

Children under 7 years of age, pregnant women and people with existing heart conditions and injuries cannot participate in this experience.

Guidelines

Maximum weight restriction is 120kg

Cancellation

Seven (7) days or more before the tour date = Full refund
One (1) to Six (6) days before the tour date = 70% refund
24 hours within the tour date = No refund
Late arrivals or no shows may result in you forfeiting your experience

This experience runs with a maximum of 12 people.

Spectators

Spectators are welcome.

Weather

The provider may cancel the experience in extreme conditions. The experience will not operate in rainy conditions, wind above 40 knots or if the temperature exceeds 38 degrees.

Dress Code

Must wear enclosed shoes, active wear or snug clothing - no loose clothing that can be caught in equipment. Long hair must be tied up.

Abseiling Mount Tinbeerwah

Family adventure for 7, facilitated by 3 great instructors. All levels of confidence within our group were catered for. The instructors mixed humour with experience. 3hours of fun with no feeling of being rushed. The cool playlist at the top was enjoyed. Tip....bring extra water as the climb back up makes you thirsty.

Great instructors, however, allowing 12 people to book in on one time slot is too much! Extremely long waiting periods takes the enjoyment out of it and for the prices being charged, is outrages. Not as advertised unfortunately

I recently did the sunset abseil at Mt Tinbeerwah with Grab Rock a it was the best experience ever. We had a mixed group of some semi confident and some fearful women. The staff were absolutely amazing going above and beyond to help, you can truly see their passion for what they do. We all left loving it and are looking at doing it again, even the ones with fear of heights. Would highly recommend to anyone Also highly recommend taking a platter to share and watch the sunset once you are done spectacular

We had the most fun afternoon with Kris & Myles. They are highly professional, personable and funny! They made the afternoon so entertaining and were able to calm all of our nerves being afraid of heights. It was the most wonderful experience and something I would definitely do again with this company. I couldn’t recommend these guys more highly! They are truly amazing and it was worth every single moment. Thanks so much guys! We will be back!
