A popular activity in Melbourne is to go horse riding along an ocean beach on the Mornington Peninsula. No experience is necessary and it doesnt matter if you have never ridden before. For many, riding a beautiful horse along a pristine ocean beach is a once in a lifetime adventure.
This 2 hour ride to St Andrews Beach commences at stables set on a beautiful 37 ha (80 acre) property. The ride to the ocean beach takes about 45 minutes and is mainly a walking ride with short periods of trotting (trotting is required). The sandy bush track then leads in to the Mornington Peninsula National Park up and over lofty sand dunes from where the views along the coastline are simply breath-taking. The horses stroll down the dunes and on to the expansive sands of St Andrews Beach which is one of Rye’s most spectacular ocean beaches. Having experienced riding a horse along the beach, you will have the opportunity to ‘capture the moment’ on film and take back proof that “you did it”. The St Andrews Beach ride is enjoyed by tourists from all over the world and has been seen on numerous TV shows including Postcards and Coxy’s Big Break. If Coxy can do it then so can you!!
