Experience two exhilarating 50 minute dives with the infamous Grey Nurse Sharks of Nurse Rock, the largest dive centre on the Sunshine Coast and only a 15 minute boat trip from Mooloolaba. Your 5-star PADI professionals will take care of every detail of the trip ensuring an unforgettable experience.
If you're a beginner or experienced certified diver, you cannot miss this easy opportunity to swim with some Grey Nurse Sharks at Nurse Rock. Located just a 15-minute boat ride away from Mooloolaba, Nurse Rock is the transitional home for these remarkable creatures, making it the perfect place to dive.
You'll start your adventure by checking in and preparing your gear at the dive shop located at The Wharf Mooloolaba, before taking a 15-minute boat ride out to Nurse Rock. A PADI professional guide will take you on your double dive with the Grey Nurse Sharks, that will consist of 2x 50 minute dives or 50 bar dives with a 45 minutes surface interval. While this shark species may look frightening in appearance, they're easy-going nature allows for an unforgettable dive with plenty of underwater photo and video opportunities.
Make the most of your double dive and plunge 14 to 22 metres deep into the water to explore the boulders at the bottom, or explore the small swim-throughs at the site. Say 'hi' to the other marine life you might also encounter along the way, such as wobbegong sharks, large schools of surgeon fish, turtles, rays, cuttlefish, eels and tropical reef fish.
This experience is four hours in duration with check-in half an hour before departure.
This experience only runs from May to October
Minimum number of diver required for a trip to run is four with a maximum of 18. Ratios for diving are 6:1 (6 divers to 1 guide).
All trips are subject to weather and confirmations/cancellations are made at 3pm the day before the trip is due to depart. An sms and email will be sent to the booking at this time notifying if the trip is running or not.
Please bring your own gear if you have some. If not, they can be hired and organised for you prior to the day.
