Discover the wonders and beauty of the world's largest coral reef system on this full day certified dive trip. Departing Cairns, you'll cruise to the Outer Reef on an 18-metre mono hull and anchor at two world-class dive locations that vary depending on the conditions on the day. Reefs typically visited are Milln Reef, Moore Reef, Thetford Reef and Briggs Reef. Included is one certified dive, with the length at your own discretion, where you'll uncover an abundance of marine life such as corals, turtles, fish, giant clams and sharks, and find yourself exploring coral caves, exciting walls and drop offs. Refuel with a tropical buffet lunch on board before heading to the next destination.

Session Length

  • Available seven days a week, excluding Christmas day and New Years Day
  • Departs at 7:30am and returns at 2:45pm
  • The length of your dives are at your own discretion

Restrictions

Consumption of BYO alcohol and the lighting of fires are not permitted.

Guidelines

  • You need to be a certified diver with a reputable agency (SSI, NAUI, FAUI, PADI etc)
  • You can wear contact lenses while diving, however, they must be soft, disposable or gas permeable and not hard lenses
  • Conditions such as asthma, epilepsy, diabetes, major heart problems or any eye operations or lung damage may not allow you to dive
  • An open water certified diver can dive to 18 metres and an advanced diver can dive to 30 metres
  • You will need to bring your certification card and log book to complete your dives at this level
  • You cannot fly within the 24 hour period following your last dive
  • If you are suffering from a cold, hay fever, hangover, cough, breathlessness or ear infection on the day of dive, you will not be allowed to participate in the dive
  • Chronic sinus or middle ear problems may exclude you as water depth and pressure can cause severe discomfort if you are unable to equalise pressure
  • Pregnant woman are not permitted to dive
  • Consumption of BYO alcohol is not permitted

Cancellation

Once this experience has been confirmed, changes are at the discretion of the experience provider and arranged directly with them according to this policy:

  • All cancellations made incur a 30% fee. Cancellations within 48 hours of travel incur a 100% fee
  • Please keep in mind that experience provider can change your booking and dates up to 48 hours prior to the date of travel
  • Should you fail to meet in time for the scheduled departure for any reason, you will not receive a refund of your tour costs. The vessel departure will not be delayed due to your late arrival. This includes factors beyond your control including medical problems, airline delays, bad weather, etc
  • No refund or compensation will be given for any unused equipment or prepaid/prebooked courses or guides in the event you are unable to complete the entire tour
