Experience an exceptional two-day introduction to the captivating world of scuba diving. Deepen your understanding of reef health and the ongoing efforts to protect and monitor it. Delve into the hidden realms of one of the Great Barrier Reef’s least visited regions.
Experience an immersive Scuba Exploration Experience spread over 2 days, where you'll get the opportunity to learn the basics on Day 1 and head out for two open reef dives on Day 2.
Day 1:
Your first day will set the stage with a half-day familiarisation session in the on-site pool located at the Dive Spear and Sport Centre. This four hour introductory lesson will provide you with all the basics and safety requirements for scuba diving.
Day 2:
The second day is comprised of two dives in the remote reefs of the Southern Great Barrier Reed. You'll board the high speed vessel and departs from the town of 1770 Marina which is famous for the breathtaking sunsets over the Bustard Bay. The diving experience will take place in the Southern Great Barrier Reef distinguished for its untouched wonders. You'll also be treated a delicious gourmet packed lunch on this diving day, complete with snacks and refreshing beverages. Time out on the reef will last around 6 hours with scenic transfers from the shore taking 1-2 hours depending on the conditions.
This course has a duration of 2 days.
There is a maximum of 2 students to one instructor ratio.
Reef trip is weather dependent. Pool session is not.
Sun hats, swimwear, towels and sunglasses are recommended.
