Experience the magic of a day sailing on Sydney Harbour in comfort and style on board one of our race tuned yachts. Sail past Shark Island for a view of the Harbour Bridge and the Opera House and relax as the friendly instructor will show you the ropes in a safe and controlled way.

Our Discover Yachting Day is ideal for beginners and experienced sailors alike. It is a great way to meet new friends and have fun. Our friendly and professional instructor will show you the ropes in a safe and controlled way. If you prefer to chill on the deck and soak up the rejuvenating sun and sea air that's ok too.

A typical day begins with a short safety briefing. Your instructor will explain the basic parts of the yacht as well as the use of winches, halyards and sheets. Next head out into Middle Harbour for some gentle crew training before setting sail for Sydney Heads and a taste of the mighty Pacific Ocean. You may see dolphins and whales and occasionally Flying Fish!

You learn how to hoist and trim the sails, sail across the wind, helm the boat on different points of sail and tack and gybe. After enjoying a tasty lunch at anchor, and maybe a bit of swimming or snorkeling in one of Sydney's magnificent coves, sail on to Shark Island for a view of the Harbour Bridge and the Opera House and the essential photo shoot.

Enjoy refreshments in the waterside bar or café at Middle Harbour Yacht Club after hours on the harbour - it's a way of life you'll have to get used to!
