Want to add a new skill to your repertoire? How about becoming a fully certified Scuba Diver? Plunge down under and explore the magnificence of the underwater world of any eco system in the world after completing this course. It includes advanced training and 4 scuba dives at Julian Rocks.
This course is broken down into three sections. Firstly, you will complete online training for the theory components covering the basic principles of scuba diving which is necessary before gearing up and getting into the water. Following this you will begin the pool training to practice basic scuba skills and get comfortable with the equipment you will be using in the water. It's a completely unusual experience to be able to breathe under water and it does take a little while to master the breathing techniques. When the basics are mastered in the pool you will head out to Julian Rocks with your instructor for 4 dive's and practise all of your newly learnt skills in the open water environment. There are a total of 4 dives out at Julian Rocks over the course of the 3 days, which will allow you plenty of time to gain confidence and build up your skill level.
Get yourself face to face with sea turtles, tropical fish, blue gropers and wobbegongs. Feel at one with nature as you glide over coral and through schools of colourful fish. Julian Rocks nature reserve is home to over 400 species of fish, three difference species of sea turtles (Green, Hawksbill and Loggerhead), a variety of rays and corals so each dive will offer an entirely new experience. Here the tropical Coral Sea collides with the nutrient-enriched temperate currents of the southern Tasman Sea, resulting in an unique mixture and incredible abundance of marine life.
After the course you will proudly be Open Water certified meaning you can dive at any time without the guidance of an instructor.
Those under 18 must be accompanied by a full paying parent/guardian.
