Learn all about opals, where they're found, how to value them, the folklore and myths around this magic stone. Located in the heart of the beautiful Blue Mountains, this 2-3 hour workshop kicks off with a short introduction to opals that will help you know what to look for when it comes time to selecting your gemstones. Each participant gets to choose a parcel of three genuine Australian opals, each weighing 6-12ct. Then, under the guidance of a lapidary, learn how to polish them to a high shine and how to release the gorgeous fire within the stones.
