Enter the underwater realm and stumble upon an awe-inspiring mix of natural masterpieces and man-made structures at the Museum of Underwater Art (MOUA). Departing from Townsville and Magnetic Island, you will venture to the central section of the iconic Great Barrier Reef, home to some of the best wonders in the reef. On route, an expert team will provide snorkel demonstrations and instructions to ensure you're confident to make the plunge. You'll arrive at John Brewer Reef where the MOUA lies, the first of its kind in the Southern Hemisphere. The series of instalments by world-famous underwater sculptor Jason deCaires Taylor highlight reef conservation, restoration and education.

Dive in and explore The Coral Greenhouse, a submerged 72 metre building that is a haven for snorkelers and divers alike. Adorned with trees, life-like sculptures, coral gardens and marine life, this encounter is unforgettable. There are plenty of other wonder-filled reefs that surround the MOUA to explore, with depths ranging from one to 20 metres. Feel the magic of the underwater world as you swim in the company of colourful reef fish like parrot fish, maori wrasse, clown fish, turtles, stingrays and more, and a kaleidoscope of corals. The crew will educate you about how the reef is being managed and take you through ways that you can help protect it and its creatures for generations to come.
