Guidelines

• No experience is required
• Participants must be reasonably fit
• Not suitable for people who are pregnant, suffer from asthma, or have conditions that exclude them from diving
• Participants over 45 years will require a medical certificate
• If you are certified, it is mandatory that you bring your dive certification card

Cancellation

• Change your booking up to 48 hours before the start time of your experience
• Changes are not permitted within 48 hours of your experience
• Late arrivals or no shows may result in you forfeiting your experience
• Refunds will only be provided under Medical grounds when a medical certificate from a Registered Medical Practitioner is supplied to Subsurface Scuba within 5 days of the dive trip booking.
• The decision to cancel the dive trip is generally made out of concern for the SAFETY and Quality of the Experience.
• Anyone Booked onto a cancelled trip will receive a credit for their experience and can re-book at any available date in the future.
• Should the participant not be able to re-book, they are permitted to transfer the booking to another person. However, the new participant will still need to meet all of the requirements initially stated for the experience including any general Health and medical requirements.
• Should you attend the experience under the influence of drugs or alcohol or in an unhealthy state, you will not be permitted to complete the experience and only the equipment hire element of the fee will be refunded.
• Should you cancel the experience or wish to no longer participate in the experience once the experience has commenced, ie you have attended the location or the vessel has departed, no refund will be permitted.
• Should the experience need to be cancelled after it has commenced due to unforeseen circumstances, all participants will be given the opportunity to re-book the experience at a later available date.
• Should the experience need to be cancelled after it has commenced due to your unacceptable before on the vessel, no refund will be provided.
• Advertised dive sites are subject to change dependant on weather and participant safety elements.

Numbers on the Day

Maximum of 12 people.

Spectators

Spectators may be permitted on the Dive Trip at a cost of $50 per person. However positions are limited and Spectators will only be permitted if less than 12 divers are booked on to the days Dive Trip.

Weather

The weather is something that we cannot control. Should it be determined by the Dive Operator that the weather is not suitable to safely run the Dive Trip they may cancel the trip for the day and reschedule the trip. The decision to cancel the trip due to weather conditions remains at the discretion of the Dive Operator.

Dress Code

During warmer times of the year, Oct-March, Swimmers, sunscreen, hats and flip flops. During Cooler times of the year it is suggested that a jumper or wind proof jacket and hat/beanie are also worn.
