Your unforgettable getaway begins with a scenic flight in a twin-engine aircraft from Hobart to Melaleuca, the only way to get to this remote piece of the world. During the flight, absorb the grandeur of this spectacular region and iconic sights like Federation Peak, the Western Arthur Range, Precipitous Bluff and the rugged south coast. Upon arrival, board a purpose-built vessel and traverse the majestic waterways of the Port Davey Marine Reserve before arriving at the exclusive Southwest Wilderness Camp.
This eco-friendly camp gives you the unique opportunity to immerse yourself in untouched wilderness in one of the planet's last remaining temperate rainforests. Enjoy the clean fresh air, hot showers and quality Tasmanian food and wine. Throughout the trip, your friendly and experienced guides will share insightful commentary about the region.
This experience is two days and one night in duration.
All flights and flight paths are subject to prevailing weather, tidal conditions and availability; therefore itineraries and the aircraft used are subject to change without notice.
Minimum of two and maximum of 10 participants.
Flights, transfers, ground and boat tours are subject to changeable weather conditions en-route, including tidal, sea state, prevailing winds, air traffic control, unscheduled maintenance, or closure of infrastructure by private or government parties and/or other influences outside of control. In the event of inclement weather or if they are unable to operate the tour or transfer for any reason, the provider will reschedule you.
