Experience the ultimate nature rush on this pot to plate adventure! Cruise into the heart of mud crab territory as you learn about traditional hunting techniques, visit an oyster farm, pull up crap pots, try your luck at yabbie pumping and enjoy a sumptuous seafood feast on the sandbank.
Join Bundjalung Nation descendant Luther Cora and a professional crabber for a unique four hour pot to plate adventure. Enjoy a scenic river cruise as you learn more about traditional hunting techniques versus today's commercial practices. Armed with bamboo spears, you'll get hands-on as you wade through mangrove forests in pursuit of mud crabs, stingrays and fish. If the tide is permitting, you'll all enjoy alfresco sand bank dining while the mornings catch is cooked on a bonfire. With the stunning river as your backdrop, savour fresh flavours and celebrate the local Aboriginal culture as you listen to Yugambeh stories and didgeridoo playing. Jump back on board and cruise to a nearby oyster farm, where you'll taste freshly shucked oysters, pull up crab pots, feed the bird life and try your luck at yabbie pumping and fishing. Feast on freshly prepared seafood including mud and spanner crabs, prawns, oysters, salads, bread and fruit complimented with a cheeseboard and unlimited drinks.
