Step back to a time when the sweet scent of Chinatown’s spices masked the bitter smoke drifting from hidden opium dens, and the city’s poorest were sacrificed in the name of “science”—their bodies sold from poorhouses to medical schools under the cover of night. Visit the very alleyways where Jack the Ripper is rumoured to have hidden from the Metropolitan Police, his dark legacy trailing him across continents and through time. Hear the haunting tale of famed opera singer Frederick Federici, who gave his final and most chilling performance at the Princess Theatre—vanishing beneath the stage as he plummeted to his death before a stunned audience. Some say he never left.
