Excite your senses and tantalise your taste buds as you are transported to the bustling streets of Japan during this hands-on cooking class. Your experienced instructor will show you the tricks behind a few popular Japanese dishes. This class is fun, informative and most importantly, delicious!
Be taken on a culinary journey during this interactive cooking class, as you experience the authentic tastes and smells of the busy streets of Japan! Their resident Japanese chef Kentaro will teach you how to master a few popular Japanese dishes including okonomiyaki, kushi katsu, yakitori chargrillled chicken skewers and authentic teriyaki sauce.
Okonomiyaki are delicious savoury pancakes filled with a variety of meats and vegetables of your choice, served with classic Japanese sauces. 'Okonomi' means 'whatever you like' and 'yaki' means to 'cook or fry', so there is plenty of room for adventure. Kushi katsu, which are pork deep fried skewers with red-miso sauce and yakitori chargrillled chicken skewers, are both very popular with commuters craving that quick and flavoursome snack. These mouth-watering skewers are typically dipped in sweet or salty sauce. Lastly on the agenda, you will be able to create your own sweet, salty Japanese sauce that is so easy to make you'll question buying bottled sauce again! These authentic sauces are great for stir-fries, marinating or as a dipping sauce. At the end of the class, sit down and enjoy your delicious creations paired with a Japanese beer. Take home the recipes from the day so that you can master them yourself and impress your family and friends.
