Take the pilot's seat of a modern training aeroplane with your fully qualified instructor and experience a flight from the cockpit. Take in stunning views over Hobart and beyond, as you learn how to take off, fly and land the place with your co-pilot's guidance.

A truly unforgettable way to see Hobart! After a briefing from your professional pilot, climb into the cockpit of a modern training aeroplane, ready to get a hands-on flying experience. The 30 minute flying lesson includes learning how to take off and land, and might even be a stepping stone for further lessons and maybe even a flying licence!

Session Length

  • The flight itself is 30 minutes, but please allow 60 minutes for the experience in total
  • Available 7 days a week, between 8am and 4:30pm
  • Unavailable Easter Sunday, Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Years Day


  • Participants must have good English and be able to understand the pilot's instructions
  • Participants must be able to enter and exit the aeroplane unassisted
  • Minimum age is 15 years old
  • Maximum weight is 125kg


Once this experience has been confirmed, changes are at the discretion of the experience provider and arranged directly with them according to their policy.

Numbers on the Day

The experience is one on one with your instructor for the duration of the flight, but your friends and family are welcome to watch the take-off and landing from our viewing area.


This experience is weather dependent. If the experience provider has to cancel the flight due to poor weather conditions, you will be rescheduled by the experience provider directly.
