Cooking in France is considered one of the fine arts! Learn to cook fabulous French cuisine in this small hands-on cooking class with an experienced chef who travels to France twice a year. After learning new techniques and dishes, enjoy a four course lunch with French wine overlooking the bay.
The joys of the table are everything to the French and food is a constant conversation. Cooking is a pleasure, they cook because they want to eat well and they love the 'cooking' process. Discover this pleasure by taking a culinary journey through France. Learn to make stocks and sauces, the foundation of good cooking; learn to cook regional specialties, classic dishes, and la nouvelle cuisine, the cuisine of today, with fresher, lighter, contemporary dishes. Enjoy the tastes, textures, and aromas of simple and sophisticated French food. You'll cook cheese and dessert soufflés, magret de canard, coq au vin, the art of boning chicken for a ballotine de volaille aux pistaches, you'll cook Boeuf Bourguignon, terrines and pâtés, tartes, crème brûlée, chocolate mousse, regional favourites such as the pissaladière, la Bourride, soupe au pistou, truites aux amandes, tarte aux poires Normande and clafoutis. Afterwards, sit down and enjoy your efforts with French wine. Bon appétit!

This experience offers a unique hands-on cooking class day, learning to cook whilst experiencing the glorious view of Port Phillip Bay. The class culminates with your wonderful luncheon, served at a beautifully set table, with wine and sparkling water plus interesting conversation. You feel like you are at a private dinner party with friends. All classes cook appetisers, soups or entrées, main course, and, usually, a dessert trio.
