★★★★★ ★★★★★ Recommended Patisserie Materclass: Macarons, Pastries Corrinne 5 July 2026 This is my 2nd Masterclass experience from the Gourmet Kitchen in Moonee Ponds. The class is run by the lovely Laura who manages to teach multiple delicious patisserie recipes of a 5 hour lesson. Quite often going over time. Yesterday’s class didn’t disappoint. I was able to learn new skills to add to my own knowledge of baking. I so recommend this class for beginners and experienced bakers. It is also a fun activity & day out to organise with family or friends . There are also many different classes to choose from. I’m looking at the Canapés & Cocktails for the next one Customer Experience Thank you for your wonderful review. We're delighted to hear you enjoyed another fantastic class with Laura and came away with new skills and plenty of inspiration. It’s great to know the experience was both educational and fun, whether for experienced bakers or those just starting out. 5 July 2026

★★★★★ ★★★★★ Recommended Excellent experience Michael 18 October 2023 The Patisserie Masterclass was a great experience. Our teacher, Laura gave clear instructions and demonstrations and was really well organised. The recipes were easy to follow and Laura gave lots of really helpful tips along the way. The macarons, profiteroles, pastries and fillings were delicious. It was very satisfying to see how professional our creations looked as we packed them to take home. A thoroughly enjoyable day - highly recommended.

★★★★★ ★★★★★ Recommended Good Cooking Class, But Could Be Better Claire 9 August 2023 My mum and I attended this cooking class where you learn how to make macarons, choux pastry, shortcrust pastry, ganache, cream patisserie and fruit curd fillings. Laura, who runs the class, is a great teacher, very friendly and certainly knows her stuff. And you make a lot of desserts, we had a very large selection to take home, so it is definitely value for money. However, the class is long - ours ran from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m., and you are virtually standing for the whole time. You do get to sit for maybe 20 minutes to have the scones described, but this was one rather small scone and a cup of tea, which was the only food during the six hour class, meaning everyone was rather hungry when we left! Our main criticism though, was the fact that the class can have up to 14 people (ours had 13), but there are only 3 benches, which means if you go as a two (like we did), you are paired up with other people on the bench that you don't know, and having to share the cooking stages. We were disappointed with this as we would have liked the opportunity to try our hand at all the things we were being taught, rather than watching Laura and then watching someone else in the group try it. Overall, it was a good experience, but we wouldn't attend another class at this cooking school unless the numbers to benches ratio improved.
