As a guest you will see a performance of ‘What Was That?’, which is an exciting and scary historical production that brings to life the history of the Chirnside family who built and lived in the mansion. Filled with lots of scary moments and plenty of comedy, this highly entertaining play (that moves throughout the mansion) will also give a good insight into the life of the Chirnside family in the 19th century. Next door to the historic Mansion is the Hotel originally built by the Catholic Church and used as a seminary for 50 years in the early 20th century. Now the luxury Mansion Hotel and Spa at Werribee Park, you will be staying in one of the heritage rooms once occupied by the student priests. An experience you will never forget!

Numbers on the Day

There is a maximum of 26 in the group.  There will be two professionals actors and 2 backstage staff.


The experience is not affected by weather as it is mostly an indoor event.  Rescheduling can only be organized if sufficient notice is given so that the places are filled.

Dress Code

As the historic mansion (location of the show) is neither heated or cooled, comfortable clothing and shoes are recommended (for duration of tour only)
