Get ready for a day full of iconic landscapes and unforgettable moments as you travel from Melbourne CBD to the Great Ocean Road in Victoria. You will be picked up from your accommodation in Melbourne CBD then your journey begins. Settle into the luxe bus, recline your seat and grab a blanket if you’re chilly in the morning and enjoy the panoramic views from the privacy windows. You will first cross the famous West Gate Bridge, journeying inland past Colac, the gateway to the famous Otway's National Park. Stop for a coffee and enjoy a delicious chocolate tasting at G.O.R.G.E Chocolates & Alpaca Farm. You will also have the opportunity to hand feed the friendly alpacas, starting your day with some serious smiles.
You will then head to visit the breathtaking 12 Apostles, where you venture out onto the viewing platforms for some incredible photos. Next, visit Loch Ard Gorge where you will learn about the heroic sea rescue from your experienced guide, before meandering down the gorge on a refreshing beach walk. Next, stop for lunch with a tea or coffee at Wildlife Wonders, a beautiful not-for-profit wildlife centre where your conservation guide will share with you bushland secrets as you learn about the plants and animals that call the Otway’s home. Enjoy a one hour guided tour, meeting wallabies, koalas, kangaroos, emus, birds, and other native animals.
Relax and reset, enjoying spectacular views from your bus seat as you continue past the seaside town of Apollo Bay and Lorne. Stroll down the beach and spot the surfers catching some unbelievable waves. Your journey will have one more stop at the Memorial Arch, where you will discover the stories of the incredible returned service soldiers who built this remarkable road.
