★★★★★ ★★★★★ Ningaloo Discovery crew were amazing, fab day :-) Tracey 20 September 2020 The whole day from pick up to drop off went like a dream. The crew of our catamaran were excellent with their knowledge and service. The captain continued to give us an amazing day never to be forget, even though we had swam with a Whale Shark and a Humpback Whale him and his team still wanted us to see more. Which we did by swimming with two resting Humpback Whales as well.
★★★★★ ★★★★★ Not a great experience Catherine 8 September 2020 We have been on multiple Whale shark swims and got the humpback swim as a birthday present. As divers and frequent marine excursion enthusiasts, we fully understand that you are at the whim of nature. My problem with this trip is that we were following whales North of the boat ramp towards the cape, the boat was split in three groups, we were group three. they tried to place group one then two in seperate drops on a whale and calf but the whale changed direction, that is nature. Group three never got to go on the water for a humpback, just a potential manta ray no one saw. The captain then started heading the boat south very fast, after about 20 mins one of the crew tells us that we are headed south where there are Orcas but that we cannot swim with humpbacks within 6 miles of orcas, so basically rather than staying North and trying to find swim able humpbacks the captain made a call to head south and view orcas. Given we did not even get an opportunity to get in the water and that the captain did not ask the paying passengers if they would rather keep trying up North or give up the swim chance for viewing Orcas, I felt this was very poor and that our chance to swim was taken away, we could have spent another few hours North trying to swim but had that opportunity removed by the captains decision, and then to be told 50% voucher to use this season (note start of Sept and season is Aug-Oct) this was pretty insulting. Will not use Ningaloo Discovery again, nature is what nature is, but it felt like the captain made a decision to get out of swims and get back to shore early. We have used multiple different whale shark providers and will always use Kings going forward, a great Captain/owner, awesome boat and equipment and very customer focussed.

Unfortunately the humpbacks we found we were not able to swim with (the calf was too small) however we found an off season whale shark instead which was great and had a great time snorkelling!

We were lucky enough to swim with 2 different humpback pods and an out-of-season whale shark, and it's an experience I'll never forget! The friendly crew were fantastic and displayed a clear respect for the marine life. Food on board the boat was great too. Overall a day that went better than I ever could have hoped!
