This full day course is designed to give you the essential skills in bush survival and wilderness travel. Your experienced guides will share a wealth of knowledge and run through basic actions so you'll be able to survive almost anywhere. Challenge yourself and channel your inner Bear Grylls!
Put yourself to the test with this full day course packed with essential wilderness survival and safety training. This outdoor experience is a dynamic combination of both traditional and modern survival and safety skills. Learn what to do if you get lost in the bush, what essential gear you should carry, how to build an emergency shelter from natural materials, light a fire without matches, find your way with a map and compass, and much more!
This experience runs for one full day starting from 9am to approximately 4:30pm.
Once this experience has been confirmed, changes are at the discretion of the experience provider and arranged directly with them according to their policy.
Group size will be 1 instructor for every 4 participants. Please note, this can sometimes vary depending on participant numbers.
This experience usually goes ahead- rail hail or shine!
Please dress for a day outside in the mountains. Bring adequate sun protection, rain protection and warm layers- The weather in the Blue Mountains is dynamic and can change quickly so be prepared! Please keep cotton clothing to a minimum - If it gets wet it will make you extremely cold! Ideal clothing is quick drying synthetics or wool. If the weather is cold then thermal underlayers are highly recommended!
