Try abseiling, it's a real adventure blast, which introduces you to the vertical world! Enjoy the thrill of climbing down cliffs in the Glasshouse Mountains whilst taking in the pleasant serenity of the area that surrounds you. Beginners are more than welcome.

Your qualified instructors are experienced in helping you become relaxed and familiar with the equipment, safety requirements and abseiling techniques. Soak up the view of the surrounding glasshouse mountains as your guide attaches you to the rope and safety line for you to enjoy the controlled descent down the rock face above the tree lines. Your guide moves the abseil locations throughout the duration of the activity. The best part? You can abseil the mountain as many times as you like during your session.

Session Length

This trip is a full day in duration
Begins at 7.45am and finishes at approximately 2.30pm

Guidelines

You will need to bring lunch and snacks, and 2L of water for the day, ensure these are easy to carry as we will be on the mountain all day
Experience takes place in a National Park and there are no facilities ie toilets in the park itself. Last facilities are located in the Town of Glasshouse (approx.5 mins by car)
Bring a backpack (we recommend 20-30 L)to carry your personal belongings and allocated abseiling gear
Any level of experience from beginners through to experienced can be catered for
Minimum age is 8 years old
Participants 8-16 years old must be accompanied by an adult
Participants 18 years and under require a waiver to be signed by their parent or legal guardian
A moderate level of fitness is required

Change your booking up to 48 hours before the start time of your experience
Changes are not permitted within 48 hours of your experience
Late arrivals or no shows may result in you forfeiting your experience

Numbers on the Day

This experience operates with a minimum of 4 people on the day.

Weather

This adventure activity is outdoor based and therefore subject to weather. In the event of rain or inclement weather your experience will still go ahead unless contacted by the experience provider. Activities will normally operate in all but exceptional circumstances. Unless you hear from the provider, assume that your activity is going ahead. The provider will make every effort to inform you if cancelling your scheduled activity is necessary. Participants that decide not to attend/participate on the basis of weather (against the provider's policy and/or advice) forfeit their full activity cost. The Provider will not accept any liability for travel, accommodation, inconvenience or other costs incurred or lost through such cancellation.

Dress Code

It is recommended that you wear comfortable clothing (we suggest tights, mid length shorts or long pants that suits the weather on the day and hiking or jogging shoes. We also suggest a light jacket even in Summer as it can be windy on the summit. You will also need to bring a hat, sunscreen, and water. A camera (optional). You may also like to bring some insect repellent.

Experience could not have been better!

First time abseiling which was bought as an experience gift for my partner, it was well above our expectations. The location was perfect and picturesque, the time allowed was perfectly scheduled, the gear was clean and well maintained, but most of all, Jess our professional guide/abseiler was amazing in all aspects. She communicated clearly, gave all info needed to ensure we were safe and aware was spot on, great small talk and informative to our location. Thank you Jess for such a great experience which included successful repelling from 10, 20 and 40metre declines.

While some of us relish in what ever Mother Nature has to offer , sometimes to add adrenaline with respect to the equation? Taking my son to experience outdoor abseiling and to show that being outside and off / away from tech is closer to the soul . The day started slow due to the numbers but I said to my son that they like to be extra careful with the setting up and safety standards The 40 metre drop seemed easy following the first 2 and by the days end we said our goodbyes left with loads of pics and a sense of greatness ( following our 3 month lock up)

Abseiling the Glasshouse Mountains was absolutely awsome. Luke the guide was so patient with any of our group who were a little unsure of the largest abseil (40M) and the whole group were very supportive. Would recommend Luke as a guide for any of their experiences as he was able to calm any nerves we had and talked us through any of our doubts so that we were able to complete each of our abseils without missing out. Had a thoroughly wonderful and exhilarating time and would recommend it to anyone who wanted a bit of a challenge.

The abseiling adventure at the Glass House Mountains was definitely an experience. Our instructor Luke was the best. He was so patient and reassuring and made you feel so safe. It was so fun and we would definitely do it again. Such a great thing to do to challenge yourself and make some lasting memories.

Highly recommend this adventure. I didn't feel pressured and everyone was so supportive and professional and I felt so safe! I had a lovely day.... even with the rain on the way down! just added to the adventure of it all.
