This is a 2-hour abseiling adventure suitable for beginners. Experience the thrill of abseiling off the 20m cliffs of Kangaroo Point as the city of Brisbane turns from day to night before your eyes. This is one of the best views of Brisbane.

Abseiling is fun, easy and relaxing. Your instructors are skilled in helping you to become relaxed and familiar with the equipment, safety requirements and safe abseiling techniques. High safety standards are adhered to, and everyone is 'belayed' at all times, preventing you falling to the ground. You are guaranteed absolute safety and maximum fun!

Important information

Session Length

This experience is a 2 hour late afternoon session.
Can be run most day of week subject to minimum numbers.
During September to April activity runs from 4.30pm to 6.30pm.
During May to August the activity runs from 3:30pm to 5:30pm.

Restrictions

Not recommended during pregnancy

Guidelines

A reasonable level of fitness is required
Minimum participant age is 8 years old (participants 8-16 years old must be accompanied by an adult)
Participants 18 years and under require a waiver to be signed by their parent or legal guardian

Cancellation

Change your booking up to 48 hours before the start time of your experience
Changes are not permitted within 48 hours of your experience
Late arrivals or no shows may result in you forfeiting your experience

Numbers on the Day

There is a minimum of 4 people per trip.

Spectators

Spectators are welcome. They can view from the top of the cliffs or from the bottom of the cliffs. They may be requested to wear a helmet if viewing from the bottom of the cliffs and need to follow the guide's instructions at all times.

Weather

In the event of rain or inclement weather your experience will still go ahead unless contacted by the experience provider. Activities will normally operate in all but exceptional circumstances (thunderstorms and excessive heat ie 35 degrees and over. In these events the activity will be postponed and rescheduled. Unless you hear from the provider, assume that your activity is going ahead. Participants that decide not to attend/participate on the basis of weather (against the provider's policy and/or advice) forfeit their full activity cost. The Provider will not accept any liability for travel, accommodation, inconvenience or other costs incurred or lost through such cancellation.

Dress Code

Wear comfortable clothes (mid length shorts, tights or long pants are recommended) and hiking or jogging shoes. Bring a hat, sunscreen, water and a camera. You may also like to bring some insect repellent.

The sunset abseiling was amazing! Jess was so amazing - very clear, supportive and she made me feel safe and confident. We abseiled down 4 times in the session and felt more comfortable and able to enjoy the experience each time. I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for something different and exciting!

My friend and I had one of the best day of our lives. It was the first time for both of us so we were a little nervous. I've especially had a fear of height but wanted to challenge myself and our instructor really encouraged me throughout the whole process. She made sure everyone felt safe and supported so that we had the best experience in one of the most beautiful parts of Brisbane. I honestly couldn't have done it without her guidance so I'm so grateful for it. You can abseil as many times as you want. We did it twice and the second time was definitely easier. Our instructor taught us various tips and techniques and it was so much fun to apply them. She kindly took a lot of stunning photos of us as well. I could confidently recommend this to anyone as we really had one of the most unique and liberating activities with a nice amount of adrenaline that's given us a sense of being alive.

Our abseiling instructor was absolutely amazing! I only did one abseil as I’m not very good at heights, but I’m so happy I overcame it, also the view of kangaroo point was beautiful from the wall! An amazing experience everyone needs to try once!

Thanks to the really friendly instructor, I had an amazing evening. Abseiling at the kangaroo Point Cliffs is a different way to enjoy Brisbane and I loved every minute of it! We talked, climbed, enjoyed this amazing view and the sunset of course. I would definitely do it again and perhaps we see each other again :)
