Sticky ribs, smoky chicken, pulled pork and brisket - it's no secret that Americans have perfected the barbecue! This five hour cooking class will teach you techniques, tips and tricks to nail the iconic cuisine at home. With instruction an experienced teacher, you'll learn the signature styles of smoke, spice and slow and low cooking meat. Classes are capped at 10 participants to ensure you receive close attention and tips to improve your culinary skills. At the end of the session, you'll sit down to a tasty meal made by you, perfectly paired with two glasses of wine. Leave with a folder containing recipes and notes so that you can recreate the dishes at your next backyard bbq!

Session Length

  • Class runs for a 5 hour duration, comprising of a 4 hour hands-on cooking lesson followed by a sit-down meal
  • Class times: 10am - 3pm

Restrictions

Please advise of any food allergies or special dietary restrictions and the provider will do their best to accommodate them.

Guidelines

  • Minimum age is 15 (under 18 year olds must be accompanied by a paying adult)
  • Menu subject to change depending on seasonality and availability of ingredients
  • The consumption of alcoholic beverages is not permitted before or during practical cooking classes. For the safety of the individual and others, persons deemed to be intoxicated will not be allowed to participate in a class
  • Participants are advised to make their own insurance provisions in case of unforeseen circumstances

Cancellation

Once this experience has been confirmed, changes are at the discretion of the experience provider and arranged directly with them according to this policy:

Rescheduling

  • Over 1 week prior to the experience date: No charge
  • 48 hours to up to 1 week prior to the experience date: $50 per participant fee to change class date and time
  • Within 48 hours of the experience date and No Shows: Participants forfeit their experience and therefore are not entitled to a refund or to re-book

Dress Code

Comfortable closed-in shoes and no loose articles of clothing. Please tie back long hair.
