Discover the sights and delights of the Derwent Valley on this afternoon wine and craft beer tour. You will be picked up from your Hobart accomodation and begin making the short journey to Glaetzer-Dixon, a new age retro cellar door located right in Hobart, where you'll be treated to a curated wine tasting. Up the valley, you'll find Stefano Lubiana, a biodynamic winery that has taken the title of best biodynamic wine world wide for three consecutive years in a row. Learn a little about the benefits of biodynamic farming methods and enjoy a tasting in the cellar door before hitting the road. Next up is a visit to Derwent Estate, positioned perfectly on the banks of the Derwent River, before surprising your taste buds with craft beer at The Eleventh Order Brewery. Finish the day with a scenic stop at Pulpits Rock which offers spectacular views of the Derwent River, before heading back to Hobart.

Session Length

  • This experience operates on Saturday afternoons from 1pm and returns at approximately 5:30pm
  • Guests must be at Brooke Street Pier 10 minutes before departure time unless hotel pick up has been arranged

Guidelines

  • You must be 18 years and older to consume alcohol; ID may be required
  • The provider is dedicated to providing responsible service of alcohol to our guests. They do not condone excessive or binge drinking in any way
  • Any guest that is deemed to be intoxicated before the start of the tour will not be allowed entry to the tour vehicle and will forfeit the tour
  • While on the tour, the authority of the tour guide / bus driver will be adhered to, and should the guide / bus driver feel in any way that you are acting inappropriately or acting in a manner which will impact the enjoyment of the other guests while on the tour, that said person will be ejected from the tour, and will forfeit the tour fee
  • This tour has a low level of physical difficulty and is offered in English only

Cancellation

Once this tour has been confirmed, then changes are at the discretion of the experience provider & must be arranged directly with them according to this policy:

  • If any guest/s needs to cancel a tour, then they must do so before 24 hours from the start of the tour
  • Any cancellation within 24 hours of the tour start time will forfeit 100% of the value of the said tour
  • There are no extra fees to reschedule a tour or to be able to move to another experience before 24 hours of the start time of the tour or event. Inside 24 hours of the tour guests will be waitlisted for their nominated day or tour that they wish to change to if that tour is already full or nearing capacity and guests accept that they may not be able to participate in another tour if it is not within their timeframe

Weather

This tour spends time outdoors. If there is inclement weather, then the same tour format will be adhered to, however the provider will change the style of the experience. All experience guests are advised to bring a warm jacket/coat/blazer of some kind as a precaution, even if it looks sunny at the time of departure.

Dress Code

All tour guests are advised that the tours go inside working wineries and breweries and as such are subject to stringent health and safety regulations. Please have closed toe footwear or the closest thing, or you may not be able to participate in some aspects of the tour due to safety hazards.
