Open experiences

We have a full range of open experiences at RedBalloon that we have ensured are operating and taking bookings. You can find that whole range here, or look for the green ‘open now’ tab on our experiences.

Gift vouchers, gift cards and experience vouchers

At RedBalloon we exist to enrich life’s story with our amazing range of experiences. To that end we have now extended all RedBalloon Gift Cards, Gift vouchers and Experience Vouchers purchased on or after 1st Oct 2017 to 5 years (60 months), we will also hold the price of your experience for the first 18 months from the date of purchase (after that we will hold the $ value for the remaining 42 months). This extension is an additional 2 years across our whole range (24 months) to enjoy, gift or share your experience (this does not include previously booked experiences).

Gifting

No matter what is going on it’s always a great time to give the perfect gift from our amazing range of experiences. With 5 years to book*, now is the perfect time to choose an experience as a gift you know they can look forward to and that will support one of the 1800+ small businesses across Australia.

FAQs

  1. What if I want to book an experience but I'm unsure of whether I can go due to COVID-19 restrictions?

    In this ever-changing environment, we ask that you check your state government guidelines before booking an experience. Experience providers must adhere to the guidelines and restrictions, including turning people away from areas of the country currently in lockdown. To avoid disappointment, please check guidelines for your state.

  3. What if I want to book an experience but I'm unsure whether it is open or not?

    Across the RedBalloon site we do our best to ensure all experiences with a green ‘now open’ tab can be confirmed as open and ready to book. You can shop our full range of open experiences here.

  5. What if I have a voucher that’s about to expire?

    All vouchers and gift cards from RedBalloon purchased on or after Nov 1st, 2017 will be extended for a further 2 years (24 months) from the purchase date to ensure you have the flexibility to complete your amazing experience.

  7. What if I have an experience booked in the next few months?

    As you'd expect some of our suppliers have paused bookings temporarily in light of the recent advice from the government in certain states and areas. If you have an upcoming booking with us, rest assured we will get in touch with you at least 4 weeks prior to your booking date to let you know of any changes.

  9. If I buy a voucher, how long have I got to use it?

    All RedBalloon vouchers, e-gift cards, gift vouchers and retail gift cards purchased on or after 1st October 2017 are valid for 5 years except where the experience has already been booked in. We honour the purchase price of the experience for 18 months. If you don’t book within that time and the price of the experience increases, you can either pay the difference or exchange the voucher for another experience free of charge.

  11. What if I want a voucher delivered by post?

    The safety of our staff and customers is important to us. We are following the government guidelines so that we can continue to deliver vouchers in our famous red envelope to you or your gift recipient.

    Please note: Deliveries to some areas may be delayed due to COVID-19. To find out if your delivery is impacted visit the Auspost website or contact the courier company on your shipping confirmation directly.


  12. *5 year validity: All RedBalloon vouchers and gift cards purchased will have a 5-year expiry, except where the experience has already been booked in. We honour the purchase price of our experiences for 18 months. If you book your experience after this time and the price of the experience increases you can either pay the difference or exchange it for another experience free of charge.
