Some frequently asked questions.
Is the voucher exchangeable?
Yes, however only prior to redemption. That is, once a booking request has been made the voucher is no longer exchangeable.
What if the recipient doesn’t want it?
We offer exchanges where the recipient may convert their experience voucher to a credit to be used toward anything else on the website.
Is it refundable?
We offer refunds within 14 days on experience vouchers if a booking has not yet been requested. Once a booking has been requested the voucher is no longer refundable.
For how long is it valid?
3 years from the date of purchase for cash purchases, or until the same expiry date on the gift voucher used for payment if paid for with a gift voucher.
Can I personalise it?
Yes. We offer voucher personalisation options, including the co-branding of the voucher with your company logo, as well as custom message options. Available both in digital and print.
How does the recipient book it in?
Via the website and instructions listed on the voucher. A quick and relatively straight forward process. We can also assist via live chat, email, or phone if you need help with your booking.
Why do I have to book via RedBalloon?
RedBalloon serve as booking partners for our thousands of suppliers. Because we offer exchanges, as well as managing most of the process for our suppliers, we require all initial booking requests be submitted via the websites. This too ensures the supplier is protected and only receives bookings for active vouchers, which sets off the process to ensure they’re paid prior to the booking.
Do you offer discounts for bulk purchases?
On a case by case basis. Please contact us with your requirements for a quote.
At what point is FBT a consideration?
$300. Employee gifts of $300 or more incur FBT. Consult your finance team or the ATO for further advice.
