Heard the slogan West is best? They might be onto something when it comes to holidaying in WA. Think crystal clear waters, unique wildlife (quokkas!) and world-class wine. Here’s a couple of places to explore on your next trip to Western Australia.
Explore the historic and cultural highlights of Perth with a guided walking tour. Led by an expert guide, you’ll discover the city’s emerging art scene, wander down hidden laneways filled with boutique cafes and shops and tick off the must-see local monuments while about Perth’s fascinating history.
Head inland and take in the stunning views of the Avon Valley from the sky on a hot air balloon flight. You’ll enjoy a delicious champagne breakfast once you land to toast your flight.
One of the many great things about this side of Australia is getting to watch the sun set over the Indian Ocean – and there’s no better way to take in these views than on a cruise. Say cheers to another day in paradise with a glass of sparkling wine.
Rottnest Island is an absolute must! This is one of the most unique and beautiful places in Australia and home of the cutest animal in the world – the quokka! Our advice would be to spend as much time here as you can. There is so much to see and explore on land and underwater.
If you’re short on time this day trip is a wonderful way to explore the National Parks just north of Perth including the mesmerizing Pinnacles. Enjoy dinner under the stars and marvel at the ever-changing colours of the Pinnacles Dessert.
Rockingham is just down the road from Perth and home to many local pods of bottlenose dolphins. On this cruise, you’ll get to jump in the water and get up close and personal with these playful animals.
It can get pretty windy on this side of Australia, so it’s a great place to try your hand at kitesurfing. This is an awesome water sport for those with a sense of adventure!
Take a seaplane from the Swan River to Margaret River and prepare for a day of indulgence as you sample some of the region’s best produce and wine. This experience is great for those who are short on time, but if possible spend a couple of days in Margaret River or nearby Yallingup as it’s such a pretty part of the world.
