5-year validity All RedBalloon vouchers and gift cards purchased will have a 5-year expiry, except where the experience has already been booked in. We honour the purchase price of our experiences for 18 months. If you book your experience after this time and the price of the experience increases you can either pay the difference or exchange it for another experience free of charge.

We get that for some RedBalloon experiences, it’s tough to ‘try before you buy’. For example, you’ll have no idea what skydiving will feel like until you launch yourself out of a plane…

So, we got thinking, what if there was a way for you to enjoy the thrill of a RedBalloon experience, without leaving the comfort of a chair? Cue our virtual reality installation.

If you head to the Myer Giftorium in the Melbourne City and Sydney CBD stores, you can try one of three RedBalloon experiences in virtual reality.

The process is easy. You simply need to make your way to the RedBalloon pop up stores in the Myer Giftorium. Take a seat in a pod and pop on your virtual reality headset. You will then have the chance to experience shark diving at Manly SEA LIFE Sanctuary, hot air ballooning over the Hunter Valley or a 10 lap rally car drive plus one Yamaha YXZ hot lap.

When we say you’ll “experience” these three examples, we mean it will look and feel like you are actually there. Imagine having the chance to dive with sharks without even getting wet!

The technology is so advanced that if you turn your head or swivel in your chair, you’ll see what’s happening to your left and right, in fact, you can take in a full 360-degree view so don’t be afraid to really look around.

By taking part in these virtual reality experiences, you’ll get a taste of the types of experiences you could be gifting loved ones this Christmas.
