In July 2017 our weeknights were blessed with the wonder that is Australian Ninja Warrior. I mean, what’s there not to like about watching athletic bodies manoeuvring their way through obstacle courses, and secretly thinking to yourself “I reckon I could do that”?
Ok, so I probably wouldn’t look as good as Fitness and fashion blogger, Nathan McCallum while doing it, but I’d have a pretty good chance of face planting it in the same fashion as Martial Artist, Sopiea Kong did in Heat 1 on the tyre swing to cargo net obstacle (2:06 in the video below).

Instagram influencers and nun chuck masters aside, I got to thinking, working at RedBalloon I’ve done some pretty adrenaline packed experiences. So, from a RedBalloon experience expert, here are some experiences that are well worth a try to see if you’ve got what it takes to be a Ninja Warrior.
Ninja Warriors Andrea Hah, Ben & Lee Cossey & Tom O’Halloran showed us that if anyone can conquer the course, a Rock Climber can.
Hiking will help strengthen your legs. How will that help? Well, Warped Wall. Enough said.
Perfect way to work on your grip Pretty handy I imagine when you're taking on the Ninja Warrior swing cycle obstacle course.
What better way to build your balance to get you ready to dominate on the Ninja Warrior bridge of blades?
Once you’re finished hanging from rocks, gliding the zip line and practising your Zen, you’ll have a pretty good idea if you’ve got what it takes to be a Ninja Warrior. And if after all that you find that your ninja is lacking, you can always just kick back and put your feet up with a day at the spa.
