Within minutes of departure you will be flying over the pristine sandy beaches of Australia’s South Coast; from Kiama in the south to Wollongong Harbour in the North, and all against the ever present backdrop of the Great Dividing Range. Bring your camera with you to capture memories of a lifetime!
As you take off from Wollongong Airport, make sure you have your camera at the ready to capture the panoramic views of both the mountains and sea as they unfold before you. The southern most point on the itinerary is the historic coastal village of Kiama, an active working fishing harbour that's most famous for its blowhole. From Kiama, you will track northwards following the Wollongong coastline past the iconic surfing location of The Farm Beach at Killelea State Reserve and on to Bass Point marine reserve. As you continue to track northwards along the coast, look out for the humpback whales (seasonal) and bottlenose dolphins which are regular visitors to the shores. Continuing your flight past historic locations and golden suntanned beaches you'll eventually reach the tourist mecca of Wollongong Harbour. Take in the beautiful sights below before heading back to base flying over Lake Illawarra.
