Climbing experiences across Australia

by Elisa Parry

Have you been watching the cricket this week and noticed the people climbing on the Adelaide Oval roof? That could be you! The Adelaide Oval roof climb is a RedBalloon experience and one you have to try next time you’re in the city. The sessions run during the day and at twilight so you can enjoy stunning sunset views of the coastline and the Adelaide Hills (and of course, whatever game is on at the time!).

Adelaide Roof Climb: “We both loved the roof climb! We got a great view of the sunset, the stadium and the city. It was the highlight of our weekend in Adelaide.” Jamie, NSW, 10/10/2017.

If climbing is your thing, we should probably let you know that the Sydney Harbour Bridge isn’t the only bridge climb around… You can also embrace your love (or tackle your fear) of heights on Brisbane’s Story Bridge. The exhilarating journey leads to an 80-metre summit, where climbers enjoy spectacular 360° views of Brisbane and its surrounds.

Story Bridge Climb: “Awesome experience, definitely recommend to everyone even if you are afraid of heights you can do it!” Adriana, QLD, 18/5/2017.

If you’re heading to the Gold Coast over the summer, be sure to take on Australia’s highest external building walk – the SkyPoint Climb! Following your climb, relax with a delicious meal, and absorb the incredible views from the SkyPoint Observation Deck.

SkyPoint Climb: “Great experience, though scarier than I would have thought. Our guide Tayla was awesome so informative and helpful – recommend it to anyone.” Dinna, QLD, 26/9/2017

Live in NSW and already tried the Sydney Harbour Bridge climb? There’s always the SKYWALK at Sydney Tower Eye. So, what are you waiting for! Pack your climbing shoes and get going!
